Where to install a footbridge?

A walkway allows you to safely cross gas pipes, electrical cables, HVAC ducts, low walls and other industrial equipment. A walkway will also make navigation between roof levels safer, and protect your equipment from accidental damage.

Obstacle crossing bridge

Going over obstacles is much more productive than going around them. It's also safer to walk on a platform than to try to jump over it. The modular design of our crossing platforms can adapt to most obstacles on your roof. A simple 24“ high by 40” long walkway, as shown above, will make getting around gas ducts or low separator walls much easier and safer.

Footbridge for different roof levels

When the aim is to create a safe passage between two roof levels, a freestanding crossing walkway will be ideal. Safer to use than a ladder and much simpler to install, our crossing walkway system can accommodate a height difference of up to 60″. To meet the loads specified in article 4.1.5.14 by the National Building Code, our system uses weighted bases to increase stability.

Why choose a Delta Prévention gangway?

  • Aluminum: Delta Prévention gangways are made of aluminum to prevent corrosion and to facilitate and accelerate handling during installation.
  • Modular: designed without any welding, Delta Prévention gangways are shipped unassembled to limit costs and facilitate roof mounting. They assemble quickly with basic tools, and can be easily disassembled and reassembled as needed.
  • Compliance with North American standards.
  • Made in Quebec

Why install a crossing bridge?

Increase productivity while protecting employees and equipment by improving access to hard-to-reach places with a crossing bridge. A crossing bridge allows a worker to safely cross obstacles instead of having to go around or cross them. A well-positioned crossing bridge can also protect equipment from damage caused by foot traffic, reducing maintenance costs and unproductive downtime.

How do I choose a crossing bridge?

Choosing the right crossing bridge is easy. You will need to determine the 2 important measurements of the obstacle to be overcome: the length (x) and the overall height (y). Then, we can choose together from our standard models or, if necessary, design a tailor-made crossing bridge.

Security certifications

Safety Certificate
TÜV Nord is a global leader in independent testing and certification. A TÜV certificate is an assurance that a product has been tested according to an internationally recognized standard and that the results have been independently verified. TÜV Nord tests industrial safety barriers according to PAS 13 standards.
Safety Certificate
The British code of practice for safety barriers used in workplace traffic management. It also provides recommendations for methods for testing the impact resilience of safety barriers. It is a global reference for testing and installing safety barriers in the workplace.

Powerful

Debit —The AtomikAir®'s powerful turbines process an incredible one-million cu ft of air per hour. This makes it possible to improve the environment for a large volume space.

Circulation — In winter, the AtomikAir® quickly stabilizes warehouse temperatures from floor to ceiling, even with doors opening and closing. And, in the summer, with a deflector in place, AtomikAir® directs clean, cooling air into the workplace, improving working conditions.

Effective

High volume — A single AtomikAir® unit can maintain air quality for up to 40,000 sq ft (approximately typical warehouse 25-foot ceiling height). For larger spaces, multiple units can manage all needs.

And... Low Volume — So finely tuned, the AtomikAir® only generates about the same level of sound as you'd hear in an ordinary office environment.

Durable

Heating — The powerful air circulation system returns warm, heated air trapped at the ceiling to regulate warehouse temperatures which can generate savings of 20-40% on heating costs.

Cooling — With deflectors in place, clean cooling air is gently breezed throughout the workspace, creating a more comfortable environment.

Reusable — The AtomikAir® features the only washable and reusable MERV 13 filter on the market. Easily removed, hosed down, and returned for an eco-friendly experience.

Power Stingy — The efficient system draws only 4.8 amps.

The benefits of A-SAFE polymer barriers

Safety Image
Increased safety

Designed to stop forklifts and other types of industrial vehicles, A-SAFE barriers ensure a very significant reduction in the risk of cart/pedestrian accidents.

Traffic Barrier Image
Return on investment

A-SAFE barriers are scientifically developed in order to withstand numerous truck shocks without repair, without tearing off concrete floors, without paint and without rust.

Pedestrian Barriere Image
Tested and certified

They are the most tested barriers in the world, with impact energy values certified by the independent organization TUV Nord and compliance according to the PAS 13 recommendation.

Recurring steel problems

Damaged Floor

Uprooting the soil

In the event of an impact, the steel barriers act as a lever, which has the consequence of transmitting a force greater than the pull-out values of the fasteners. The result is deteriorated concrete slabs, and significant repair costs. A-SAFE barriers absorb impact energy throughout the barrier, preserving the soil.

Rusting Steel

Rust and peeling paint

Steel barriers require permanent maintenance, which is costly in terms of time spent. The paint peels off and the barrier rusts. A-SAFE barriers are dyed in the mass, the color remains bright and highly visible and they do not rust.

Damaged Railway

Frequent replacements

Steel barriers are rigid, and therefore deform during an impact. They remain damaged, even after a small impact. The flexibility of A-SAFE barriers, designed to absorb and regain their shape after impact, simply eliminates replacement and maintenance costs.

Damaged Folk Lift

Truck damage

Look at the condition of forklifts in factories or logistics warehouses! : they are often very damaged by the numerous friction or impacts on the steel barriers, which represents significant refurbishment costs, especially when the trucks are rented. A-SAFE solves this problem because Memaplex's advanced polymer simply doesn't damage anything.

The latest generation of polymer barriers

A-SAFE invented the first polymer barrier for industry in 2001, and revolutionized industrial protection. Since then, A-SAFE has constantly improved its production. Today, the third generation of barriers adapt to the most demanding industrial situations and surpass comparable products that have since appeared on the market.

Tested and certified protections

All A-SAFE products are rigorously tested and are classified by impact level as standard. This allows you to compare products and choose the right barrier based on the trucks, weights, speeds present on your site.

For their part, steel protections are rarely tested and do not have an impact resistance scale. The only evaluation is often: bigger cart, bigger barrier, which is insufficient for an effective choice.
